Sync Modular VST effect?

I don't know how easy/difficult it is to convert a VST instrument into an effect, but this would be useful to me so I could create something in another synth/plugin and run it through whatever effects I want in Sync. Admittedly I haven't used Sync much in its current form so only bother if a lot of other people request/are interested in it

I would say, it depends on the VST-Host application you are using. most (even freeware ones) have flexible VST-routing so you can connect a VST-Synthesizer into SM-FX.dll VST-Plugin to add the desired effects.  

i.e. I have tried in Renoise, and it`s realy easy to setup
